Frequently asked questions about CNG & biogas supervision

HyTubeTrack monitors tube trailers and bundles containing CNG, biogas (biomethane), LNG or hydrogen. Pressure and temperature sensors are calibrated for the specific operating ranges of each gas carried.

HyTubeTrack sensors are ATEX-certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The level of certification depends on the zone and type of gas. FOUR DATA validates compliance for each installation.

The calculation is based on pressure and temperature readings from the trailer tube. By cross-referencing these data with the physical properties of the stored gas, HyTubeTrack accurately determines the remaining mass to ensure reliable invoicing.

HyTubeTrack transmits data via LTE-M, NB-IoT or LoRaWAN, depending on local coverage and frequency requirements. The choice of network is defined during commissioning to guarantee reliable data transmission in the field.

Each trailer tube is fitted with a GPS module integrated into the sensor. The position is updated at regular intervals and displayed on the DESK platform, even for equipment in transit between two sites.

Measurements (pressure, temperature, mass, position) are transmitted to the DESK platform in real time. Configurable alerts warn your teams as soon as a critical threshold is reached or a piece of equipment leaves its designated zone.

Installation of a HyTubeTrack sensor typically takes less than an hour per trailer tube. No heavy wiring is required. FOUR DATA provides remote commissioning and configuration of the DESK platform.

The sensors can be installed on existing tube trailers without structural modification. The retrofit can be adapted to 200 bar and 300 bar configurations and to the various brands of equipment on the market.
